He was predeceased by: his parents, James William Tyson Sr. and Juanita Branch Tyson. He is survived by: his son James William Tyson III; his brother Andrew Branch Tyson, Sr.; his wife Frances Avery Tyson; his daughter Donna Lynne Tyson; his grandchildren, Avery Grace Dishman, Emily Katherine Dishman and Tyson Nicole Dishman; and his daughter-in-law Laurie Tyson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
