We announce the death of Brenda Bass of Wilson, North Carolina, who passed away on October 10, 2026, at the age of 73. Brenda will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her daughter Amanda Kaye Bass; and her parents, Bill Jones and Katie Wilson Jones. She is survived by: her husband Gene Bass; her son Selby Bass (Brooke); her grandchildren, Emma Kaye Bass and Eugene Bass; and her brothers, Greg Wells, Ronnie Wells of Wilson and Rev. Larry Wells (Wanda) of Seven Lakes. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Wilson Memorial Service (2811 Fieldstream Dr N, Wilson, NC 27896). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Black Creek Cemetery (5547 Woodbridge Rd, Wilson, NC 27893).
