He was predeceased by: his daughter Patricia Pearson Whitner; and his parents, George "Willy" Pearson and Sue "Susie" Pearson. He is survived by: his wife Lillian Lassetter Pearson; his children, Charles S. "Chuck" Pearson, Jr. (Dawn Berberich Pearson) of Mechanicsville, VA and Nancy Pearson Yeaman (Herb) of Edenton, NC; and his grandchildren, Whitney Nicole Waitman (Jeremy), Charles Dylan Pearson (Jessica), Mary Whitner Lee (Bo) and Nancy Ruth Whitner. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
