He was predeceased by: his parents, Rowena Sessoms and Floyd Sessoms. He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Denton, Kelly (Michael) and Kathryn Buie; his grandchildren, Lily Rose Lyndon, Michael Reece Lyndon and Jacob Clay Buie; his wife Denise Sessoms; his siblings, Joyce (Randy) and Ray (Stephanie); his parents-in-law, Georgianna Lavallee, Mike, Linda, Martin, Mary, Rich, Yvonne, Steve, John, Teri, Stephen and Kim; and his close friends, Anthony, Eddie, Kathy, Randy and Susan. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews he adored, as well as great nieces and great nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Clayton's honor to the Hope Station, 309 Goldsboro Street, Wilson, North Carolina 27896.
