It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Robert Moore Jr. of Wilson, North Carolina, who passed away on June 25, 2025, at the age of 40, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Marjorie Moore, Bill and Adell Windham; and his uncles, Aubrey Moore and Billy Windham.
He is survived by: his wife Joy Moore of Wilson; his children, Lainey and Eyan; his parents, David Robert Moore, Sr. and Joanie Moore of Wilson; his sisters, Betsy Berndt (Martin) of Hubert and Amy Moore Watson of Wilson; his aunts, Rachel Windham of Wilson and Peggy Warren of Autryville; his uncle Eric Moore of Gibson; his in-laws, Linwood and Joann Rollins of Wilson; and his children, Southern Bank and Amy Moore Watson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A reception will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Joyners Funeral Home & Crematory (4100 Raleigh Rd Pkwy W, Wilson, NC 27896).
In lieu of flowers, memorials in David's honor to support an educational fund for his children through Southern Bank can be directed to Amy Moore Watson.
