She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbert Hill and Mayzell Boykin Hill of Johnston County; and her siblings, Marvelene Carico, Imogene Murphy and William Hill.
She is survived by: her husband Donald R. Walston; her children, Cindy Walston of Raleigh and Bobby Walston; her sisters, Linda White of Wilson, Karen Taylor of Wilson, Sharon Turnage (Carlton) of Elm City, Elizabeth Boyette (James Head) of Eureka and Sandra Phillips of Hubert; her close friend Debbie Viverette (Roger) of Wilson; and her pet Seth.
