With sadness, we share the passing of Ed Lewis of Wilson, North Carolina. Ed, born on November 24, 1960, passed away on August 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Ed for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. Ed’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences he brought to the world.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Francis Lewis and Norma Howard Lewis; and his brothers, Keagy Lewis and Kelly Lewis. He is survived by: his sons, Bankston Lewis and Curran Lewis of Wilson; his brother William F. Lewis, Jr. of Swansboro; his sister-in-law Janet Lewis of Cape Carteret; and the mother of his children Kit Barnes of Wilson.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the First Baptist Church (311 Nash St N, Wilson, NC 27893). Visitation was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
