She was predeceased by: her husband Rudolph Evans; her parents, Ralph Thorne and Thelma Boykin; her stepfather Robert Ambrose Boykin, Sr.; her brother Robert "Bobby" Ambrose Boykin, Jr.; and her daughter Connie Evans Coley.
She is survived by: her daughter Jennifer "Christy" Evans White; her grandchildren, Jamie Harrison, Alexcia "Jenny" Evans (Jonny) and Jarren White; her great grandchildren, Taylor Harrison, Khloe Carter, Camden Pierce, Kylen Pierce and Carson Pierce; her sister Betsy Davis; her stepson Joseph Rudolph Evans; her nephew Bryan Davis; and her friend Pam Fragoso (Leno). She is also survived by extended family, friends.
A reception will be held on Wednesday, November 11th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home (2704 Nash St N, Wilson, NC 27896).
