He was predeceased by: his parents, Miriam Eglantine Claxton of Stoney Grove and Charles Kelly; his brothers, James Kelly, Edward Merchant and George Claxton; his son Vincent Claxton; and his grandsons, Ryan and Robert Claxton.
He is survived by: his significant other Lillie Harrington; his children, Abraham Brotherson (Tamera), Kevin Claxton (Samantha), Lewis Claxton, Jr., Christina Claxton and Regina Claxton (Michael); his grandchildren, Chanelle, Brandon, Christian, Desmond, Shakyra, Kevin, Karmyn, Cy, Kimrah, Abraham Jr. of Kershrica, PJ, John, Ty'Nesha and Ky-Mani; his great grandchildren, Karis and Polar; and his sisters, Cynthia Francis and Pearl Venius Claxton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
