It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eleanor King Overton (Wilson, North Carolina), who passed away on July 31, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James Alan Overton, Sr.; and her parents, Donald H. King and Elsie King. She is survived by: her children, Deborah O. Caples (Joshua) of Browns Summit and James Alan Overton (Kim) of Wilson; her grandchildren, Samuel King Overton of Elm City, Jameson Alexander Overton of Wilson and Christopher Randell Bieri (Harley) of Tennessee; and her sister Betty Carol Parker of Goldsboro.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Joyner's Funeral Home (4100 Raleigh Rd Pkwy W, Wilson, NC 27896). A memorial service was held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
