He is survived by: his wife Patsy W. Bass of March; his children, Ernest D. Bass, II (Tanji), Donna B. Etheridge (Robert) and Deana L. Bass White; his stepdaughter Kimberly Davis (Bragg); his granddaughters, Brianna Bass, Bailey Bass (Brad Batten), Whitley Rose Edmundson (Chad), Kristina Guy and Jennifer Guy; his stepgrandchildren, Taylor Etheridge, Jackson Etheridge, John Fitzgerald, Jonson Etheridge and Chloe Fitzgerald; his brothers, Edward R. Bass (Barbara) and Jerry L Bass (Julie); and his nephews, Ryan Bass, Michael Bass, Justin Bass, Donnie Lamm, Alan Lamm and Ronnie Lamm.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Joyner's Funeral Home (4100 Raleigh Rd Pkwy W, Wilson, NC 27896). A graveside service was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Evergreen Memorial Park (2800 Nash St N, Wilson, NC 27896).
