She was predeceased by: her grandson Kenny Proctor; her parents, Roland Whitley and Nina Kearney Whitley; and her siblings, Joyce Richardson, Jean Rioux, Roland "Bud" Whitley, Jr., Bobby Whitley, Ronald Whitley, Paul Whitley and Douglas Whitley.
She is survived by: her children, Johnny Frizzelle (Frankie) of Wilson, Michael Frizzelle (Brenda) of Stantonsburg, Sharon Proctor (Greg) of Wilson and Connie Curtis (Jeff) of Elm City; her grandchildren, Ashley Frizzelle, Braxton Curtis, Meridyth Proctor and Greyson Curtis; and her siblings, Helen Kennedy of Spring Hope and Raven Whitley of Kinston.
