With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald Bass of Wilson, North Carolina, born in Lucama, North Carolina, who passed away on May 25, 2026 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Isaac Bass; his wife Hilda Renfrow Bass; his grandson Zachary Clark; his mother Bessie Lucas Bass; and his siblings, Edna Gladson, Evelyn Pittman, Joy Sasser, Dewey of Elwood, A. R., C. B. and Leo Bass.
He is survived by: his daughter Suzanne Clark (Dewey) of Nashville; his grandchildren, Blakely Rollins (Jackson) of Bailey and Nicholas Clark of Wanchese; and his great grandchildren, Levi and Charlotte Rollins.
