He is survived by: his fiancée Nancy Ellington of Wilson; his son Clayton Cox (Chelsey) of Sims; his sister Toni McKeel (Michael) of Wilson; his nephews, Brandon McKeel (Ashley), Christopher McKeel (Abbie) and Nicholas McKeel (Jenna); his great-nephews, Walker and Brooks; and his great-niece Madi Grace.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Joyner's Funeral Home (4100 Raleigh Rd Pkwy W, Wilson, NC 27896). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 3:45 PM at the Maplewood Cemetery (400 College St NE, Wilson, NC 27893).
