He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Norris Bass; his son Harold A. "Dicky" Bass, Jr.; his grandson Harold "Boo" Bass III; and his siblings, Ruby Wester and Tommie Bass.
He is survived by: his sons, Stanley Bass (Debbie) of Rocky Mount, Gregory Bass of Greenville and Robert Bass of Cocoa Beach, FL; his sister Rose Smith; and his sister-in-law Rosemond Proctor Bass of Elm City. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren.
The military honors will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Evergreen Memorial Park (2800 Nash St N, Wilson, NC 27896).
