James Franklin Baker Obituary
We announce the death of James Franklin Baker of Wilson, North Carolina, who passed away on October 20, 2026, at the age of 78. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Joe Baker and Julia Evans; and his parents, Willie Baker and Bertha Baker. He is survived by: his wife Nadine Baker; his children, Sherry McQuaid (Ken) and James Baker, Jr. (Tracey); his grandchildren, Skyler Baker, Allison McQuaid and Jacob McQuaid; and his brothers, Thomas Baker (Marie), Charles Baker (Debbie) and Don Baker (Linda). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Service (2704 Nash St N, Wilson, NC 27896). A committal service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
