Jane Wood Obituary

We announce the death of Jane Wood of Wilson, North Carolina, who passed away on July 7, 2026, at the age of 92. Jane will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Callbie Franklin Wood Jr.; her daughter Allison Jane Wood; and her siblings, John Adkins, Robert Adkins and Nancy Adkins Lewis.

She is survived by: her children, Fred Wood (Carol) and Connie Wood Young (Greg); her grandchildren, Stuart Wood (Ronnie), Austin Young (Allison) and Alli Young; her great grandchildren, Finley and Annie Wood; her brother Charles Allen Adkins; and her sister-in-law Nancy Adkins.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to First Presbyterian Church, PO Box 3184, Wilson, NC 27895.
