He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Branch High and Euna Mae Evans High; and his siblings, Annie Belle Roberson, Lillie Mae Evans, Alsey High and Dwight High.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Davis High; his daughter Gigi Rhoades (Steve) of Madison, GA; his grandchildren, Scotty Rhoades (Heather), Tyler Rhoades, Jesse Rhoades (Anna) and Jonathon Rhoades (Andi); and his great grandchildren, Emma, Jordan, Jake, Dawson, Anna Kate and Luke Rhoades. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Evergreen Memorial Park (2800 Nash St N, Wilson, NC 27896).
In lieu of flowers memorials contributions may be made to Milbournie Original Free Will Baptist Church, 5854 Countryside Rd, Wilson, NC 27896.
