He was predeceased by: his parents, George Johnson and Vinnie Weeks Johnson; and his sister Nancy Johnson Langdon. He is survived by: his wife Lillie Benton Johnson; his daughters, Lori Johnson of Wilson and Lisa Johnson of Edgewater, Florida; his stepson Bryan Radford (Elizabeth) of Wilson; and his stepgranddaughter Mary Griffin Radford (Lucy).
A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Wilson Memorial Service (2811 Fieldstream Dr N, Wilson, NC 27896). Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Calendar Maplewood Cemetery (400 College St NE, Wilson, NC 27893).
