She was predeceased by: her parents, Theolphius Barnes and Lillian Adams Barnes; and her brother Dick Barnes. She is survived by: her husband Rick Watson; her daughter Dana Batchelor (Brian) of Kenly; her grandchildren, Sydney Daniels (Ben), Harrison and Joseph Batchelor; and her sister-in-law Sandra Watson of Kenly.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Milbournie Free Will Baptist Church (5106 Raleigh Rd Pkwy W, Wilson, NC 27896). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Spring Hill Presbyterian Church (7335 Springfield School Rd, Lucama, NC 27851).
