He was predeceased by: his parents, David Earl Barnes and Vetris B. Barnes; his sister June Carol Barnes Watkins; and his brother-in-law Donnie Ray Watkins. He is survived by: his wife Ann Collins Yelverton Barnes; and his nephew William David Watkins (Katie Rowell).
