With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nell Wheeler of Wilson, North Carolina, born in Washington, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 10, 2025 at the age of 82. She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Alan Wheeler; and her parents, James Westbrook Bowen and Nell Benthall Bowen. She is survived by: her children, Rob Wheeler, Jr. (Karyl) of Wilson and Kristin Humphrey (Jason) of Swansboro; and her grandchildren, Trey Wheeler, J. T. Wheeler, Brady Wheeler, Spencer Humphrey and Preston Humphrey.
