It is with sadness that the passing of Peggy Collingwood of Wilson, North Carolina is shared. Peggy, born on November 28, 1935, passed away on September 16, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Earl "Dock" Murphy and Esther Sauls Murphy; and her siblings, Miggie Rouse and Dred Murphy. She is survived by: her husband Clark Collingwood; her children, Kim Boykin (David) of Sims and Tim Collingwood of Wilson; her siblings, Billie Spitler (Ron) of Clarksville, VA and Carl Murphy (Ginger) of Stantonsburg; her siblings-in-law, Harold Rouse of Clarksville, VA and Martha Lou Murphy of Stantonsburg; and her grandchildren, Zach Morrison, Christopher Collingwood (Kayleigh) and Jackson Boykin.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Wilson Memorial Service (2811 Fieldstream Dr N, Wilson, NC 27896). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (612 Vance St NE, Wilson, NC 27893). A burial was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 12:15 PM at the Stantonsburg Cemetery (306 Wooten Ave, Stantonsburg, NC 27883).
