It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Hooks of Wilson, North Carolina, who passed away on April 16, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Peggy Hooks to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her husband Simon Hooks; her parents, Estelle Britt and Lawrence Britt; and her brother Charles Ray "Charlie" Britt. She is survived by : her children, Susan Lucas (Tim) of Wilson and Kevin Hooks (Ingrid) of Huntersville; her grandchildren, Ella Ruby Hooks and Liam Quinn Hooks; her brother David Britt (Shirley) of Wilson; her sister-in-law Donna Britt of Granbury, TX.; and her caregivers, Bernice, Barbara, Tammy, Cheryl, Gwen, Sheila and Nellie.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Wilson Memorial Service (2811 Fieldstream Dr N, Wilson, NC 27896). Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Evergreen Memorial Park (2800 Nash St N, Wilson, NC 27896).

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Springhill Presbyterian Church, 7246 Springfield School Rd, Lucama, NC 27851.
