It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stearle G. Pittman of Wilson, North Carolina, who passed away on August 16, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Alford and Zilphia Mae Batten Pittman; and his brother Harold Glen Pittman. He is survived by: his friend May Barnes; his wife May Barnes Pittman; his sons, Gene Pittman (Susie) of Greenville and Art Pittman (Diana) of Sterling, VA; his granddaughters, Victoria Lynn Karnes (Tom) of Oak Ridge, TN and Brittany Pittman (Blake Cooley) of Greenville; his great grandchildren, Kenlie, Cohlton Conner and Brooksley Cooley; his brother James D. Pittman (Theresa) of Wilson; his sisters-in-law, Linda S. Pittman of Apex, Frances B. Holland of Lucama and Barbara B. Ritter (Phil) of Madison, Wisconsin.; his stepgranddaughter Suzanne Gardner (Thommy); and also, Abigail, Olivia, Gabriel, Bradwood Leggett and Addie Brooke.
