She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Pierce and Helen Rivers Pierce; her sister Linda Mercer Pope (Bill); and her nephew Patrick Wilson. She is survived by: her brothers, Ralph I. Pierce, Jr. (Therese) and William Mercer (Ernestine) of Wilson; her siblings' children, Chris Deans (Alisha), Will Pope (Stephanie), Tanner Pope (Meg), Chasity Jackson (Tim) and Denise Wilson; and her friend Howard "Pierce" James. She is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews and many, many cousins.
