He was predeceased by: his parents, Joel Matthew "Mack" Thorne of Elm City and Peggy Watson Wooten of Wilson. He is survived by: his brother Tony Matthew Thorne (Pam) of Wilson; his niece Erin Pugh (Tyler) of Sims; and his nephew Tyler Thorne of Wilson.
