She was predeceased by: her parents, David George Bond and Priscilla Earl Rascoe Bond; her siblings, David Bond, Johnny Norman Bond (Pete), Turner Charles Bond, Rueben Bond, Curtis Bond, Roderic Bond, Luke Bunch Bond, Emanuel Bond, William Henry Bond and Priscilla Gail Bond; and her daughter Kathleen Ethel Reed.
She is survived by: her daughter Joanna Louise Reed; her husband Dallis C. Godard (Windsor) of Martin County; her granddaughter Eliana; and her nieces and nephews, Mary Alice Brown (Kermit), Shallery Bond, Melanie Artist (Michael), Tracey Bond, Shaniya Bond, Erica Vines, Joshua Hyman (Alisa), Curtis C. Bond, Jr., Turner C. Bond, Jr., Michael Bond (Charles) and Stephen Bond. She is also survived by cousins, relatives, and beloved friends.
In 1958, Ethel was awarded a year-long scholarship from The National Science Foundation to study master's level Modern Mathematics at San Diego State University in San Diego, California, one of Ethel's proudest achievements.
