It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jesse Wayne Matthews (Windsor, North Carolina), who passed away on July 24, 2022, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his father Clarence Marvis Matthews. He is survived by : his mother Kathryn Meeks Whitaker; and his siblings, Joe Matthews (Debbie) of Tarboro, Jane Knox (Mack) of Parmele and Kay MacGray of Williamston. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his companion.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association of the American Liver Foundation.
