She was predeceased by: her parents, Pattie Walton Murphy and Brack Murphy; her husband Lindbergh Smallwood; her children, Dorothy Watson, Charles Smallwood and Curtis Williams; her grandsons, Guy Watson, Jr. and Curtis Williams, Jr.; and her brothers, Johnnie Murphy, Ishmon Williams, James Murphy, Eddie Murphy, Claude Murphy, Otis Murphy and Brack Murphy.
She is survived by: her children, Viola Bryant (Ernie), Sadie Harrell, Rosa Speller (Johnnie), Kim Christian (late Travis), Wendy S. Hazelton (Eric), Larry Smallwood (Regina), James Smallwood (Joyce Ann), David Smallwood (Renea), Darick Smallwood (Kimberly), Michael Smallwood (Tressa), Thomas Smallwood and Robert Smallwood (Sharon); and her sister Rosa Williams. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Her warmth survives in the massive, loving family she built and the countless lives she touched with her quiet charity.
