He was predeceased by: his parents, James Graves Midgett, Jr. and Vickie Williams Midgett. He is survived by: his brother James G. Midgett, III (Anita); his niece Kimberly Barnes (Jeff); and his nephews, Jimmy Midgett (Jill) and Matthew Midgett (Mandy). He is also survived by four great nieces; one great nephew; and one great-great nephew.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the West Lawn Cemetery (1909 West Main Street Extension, Elizabeth City, NC 27909).
