It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Owens of Wingate, North Carolina, who passed away on March 27, 2026, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Elijah Weeks and Josephine Small Weeks; her husbands, Billy Mills and Bill Owens; her siblings, William Joseph Weeks and Catherine Carter; and her son William Richard Mills.
She is survived by: her children, Joey Mills (Nina), Catherine Smith (Keith), Anne Brown (Cleve) and Timothy Mills; and her stepchildren, Michael Owens, Maria Gulledge (Tommy) and Pat Owens (Sue). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.
