He is survived by: his wife Anne Lewis Combs Mullis; his children, Ellen Mullis Leak (Samuel) and Calvin Wayne Mullis, Jr. (Amber); his grandchildren, Ruby Elizabeth Mullis, Jackson Wayne Mullis and Kisaan Jahmeer Leak; his brothers, James Ray Mullis and Pratt William Mullis (Brenda); and his siblings-in-law, Sarah "Jo" Strawn Mullis, Tommy, Joyce Combs Watson, Jim and Faye Combs Sutherland.
