Howard Nelson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Howard Nelson of Wingate, North Carolina, who passed away on June 5, 2025 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Donald Odell Nelson. He is survived by: his mother Barbara Poteat Nelson; his wife Nerissa Hope Nelson; his sons, Donald Nelson (Julie) of Lexington, KY and Jason Nelson of Indian Trail, NC; his grandchildren, Rylie Nelson, Addisyn Nelson, Judah Nelson, Angel Nelson, Skyler Nelson and Pearce Nelson; his siblings, Donna Jackson (Doug), David Nelson and Linda Chaisson (Jim); and his nieces and nephews, Cameron Chadborn, Chad Skeen, Kevin Skeen, Scott Jackson, Bailey Jackson, Chyanne Nelson and Dane Nelson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM at the Sardis Baptist Church (3602 Unionville - Indian Trail Rd W, Indian Trail, NC 28079). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
Nothing would mean more to him or the family than others donating to this cause as well.
