He is survived by: his father Dr. Louis Blakney, Jr.; his wife Teresa Michelle Tinsley Blakney; his grandchildren, Jonathan Blakney of Saint Louis, MO and Shashauna Owens (Jonathan Owens) of Grifton, NC; and his siblings, Roger Blakney (Phyllis), Broadus Blakney (Angelia), Shelton Blakney (Patricia), Redeial Barbour and Debra Blakney. He is also survived by two grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Davis Chapel - Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Monroe (1003 E Franklin St, Monroe, NC 28112).
