Joyce Marie Strickland Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Joyce Marie Strickland of Winnabow, North Carolina. Joyce, born on July 5, 1936, passed away on June 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Mack Roland Hobbs and Josephine Hill Hobbs; her husband Carey Washington Strickland; her granddaughter Rebecca Leigh Cooke; her brother Claudius Richard Hobbs; and her nephew Richard A Hobbs.

She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy S. Cooke (Justin), Teresa S. Cooke and Renee Wilson (Jared); her grandchildren, Elton Lee Cooke (Tracy) and Addison Wilson; her brother-in-law Henry Lee Strickland; her adoptive daughter Melodye Duncan (Ted); and her pet Foofie. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
