It is with sadness that the passing of Paul Thomas Layton of Winnabow, North Carolina is shared. Paul, born on April 4, 1987, passed away on September 5, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Megan Layton; his son Jake; his mother Margaret Dowling; his siblings, Bert and Kyle Dowling; his grandfather Reggie Barnes; his aunt Sally Jones; his uncle Neal Wehrman (LuAnna); his cousins, Kristian, Jordan Wehrman, Tommy Glasco, Alex Jones (Victoria) and Christine Jones; his mother-in-law Pamela Joseph (Robert); Elise, Oliver and Wesley.

Paul and Megan met in September 2017 and were married on February 20, 2020, shortly before the world changed with the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to contribute consider donating to a fund that will be established to support Megan and Jake during this difficult time.
