He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Davis and Joe Davis; and his former wife Elaine Scharfman Davis. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Williams; his sister Beverly Grassgreen of Marietta, GA; his children, Ben Davis of Alameda, CA and Margot Gorman (Tim) of Asheville, NC; his grandchildren, Jonah Hodes (Marisa), Molly Eglowstein (Cole) and Emma Hodes (Carter Rhyne) of Raleigh, NC; and his great grandchild Kathryn. He is also survived by the many children, grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Temple Emanuel (201 Oakwood Dr, Winston-Salem, NC 27103).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to The Helen and Joseph Davis Education Fund at Temple Emanuel, 201 Oakwood Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27103, or the Deerfield Charitable Foundation, 1617 Hendersonville Road, Asheville, NC, in memory of Alan Davis.
