He is survived by: his wife Ellen Schindler; his daughters, Kate Schindler Michalek (Joe) and Sarah Schindler; his grandsons, Max and Jake; and his siblings, Richard Schindler, Mary Ellen S. Boyd and John Schindler. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
