She was predeceased by: her parents, Joan Kelly Powers and Alan Buchanon Powers. She is survived by: her children, Jared Clayton Wiener of Portland, OR, Dennis Powers Wiener of Raleigh, NC and Allison May Wager (Michael) of Lewisville, NC.; her grandchildren, Avigail, Luke, Lucy, Dylan, Makenna, Brooke and Carter; and her siblings, Alan "Buck" Powers, Paul Powers and Sarah "Sally" Firth. She is also survived by children, cherished grandchildren, adored brothers, accomplished nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
