She is survived by: her children, Barbara Sadat (Jibril), Janette Davis (Calvin), Lee Smith, Caroline McAuley (Cuanas) and Helene Smith (Calvin); her siblings, Annette Lewis (Joe Nathan) and Roosevelt Grant (Linda); and her friends, Linda and Bernice. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.
