We are sad to announce that, on January 25, 2026, at the age of 93, Aubrey Smith of Winston Salem, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Numa Lee Smith and Elva Belle Hine Smith; and his daughter Ellen Rogers. He is survived by: his wife Emma Nora Idol; his children, Daniel Smith (Lynn) of Lexington, NC and Joanna Shore of Winston-Salem, NC; his grandchildren, Emily Shore of Indiana, Melissa Rogers of West Virginia, Russell Smith of Lexington, NC and Anna Shore of Winston-Salem, NC; and his great grandchildren, David, Daniel Winebarger, Lucas, Leo, Logan and Layden Jones.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Friedland Moravian Church, 2750 Friedland Moravian Church Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27107.
