He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis "Curtis" Hemrick and Etta Johnson Hemrick; and his siblings, Jack, Harry and Janet Dopson.
He is survived by: his wife Judy McGrady Hemrick; his sons, B. J. Hemrick and Curt Hemrick; and his grandchildren, Dylan Hemrick, Hannah Schoenberger (Caleb), Hunter Hemrick and Haley Hemrick. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as a multitude of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to Canaan United Methodist Church, 1760 Shady Grove Church Rd., Winston Salem, NC 27107.
