He is survived by: his former wife Beverly M. Turner of Winston Salem, NC; his children, Tania Stafford of Miami, FL and Bradley H. Watkins of Atlanta, GA; his granddaughter Lauren Ashley Holder; his children, Royce Carter Striblin and Aubrey Chanel Striblin; his siblings, James Watkins (Viola), Ruben J. Watkins (Patsy), Calvin S. Watkins (Jean), Roy H. Watkins (Lorraine) and Martha R. Williams (Essex) of High Point, NC; and his close friend Alfreda Floyd (Lydia Jessup). He is also survived by extended family including cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Russell Funeral Home (822 Carl Russell Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27101). Visitation was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel (822 Carl Russell Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27101). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
