He was predeceased by: his parents, Revered Otto Spruill Sr. and Blanche Spruill; and his siblings, Billy, Otto Jr., Larry and Carolyn.
He is survived by: his cousin James; his wife Tamara Spruill; his children, Rocquelle Goode, Sean Gilmore (Rosslyn), Jacynthia Spruill and Norman Spruill; his siblings, Lucy Collins, Betty Lou Spruill, Linda Moore, Shirley Spencer, Peggy Spruill, Michael Spruill and David Spruill; and his in-laws, Daniel Gilmore, Charis McGuire and Michael Gilmore (Tonya). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Russell Funeral Home (822 Carl Russell Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27101). Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel (822 Carl Russell Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27101). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
