She was predeceased by : her parents, Clinton O'Dell Hartley and Tula Jurney Hartley; her husband Scottie Gray Via; and her siblings, Rudy Sells and Marilyn Shaw.
She is survived by : her daughter Shannon Irene Soots (David); her grandchildren, Austin Scottie James Speas (Kim) and Addison Irene Speas; and her sister Charlotte "Tootie" Logan. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
