He is survived by: his wife Catherine King; his children, Rodney King (Anita), Darryl King (Cherry) and Kimberly Hatcher (Johnathan); his grandchildren, Brandon King (Monai), Johnathan Hatcher II and Depreace King; his great grandchildren, Skyler Evans and Maison King; his siblings, Marvin King, Dorothy Douglas and Annetta Payne; and his friends, James Chisholm and Charles Hunt. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Russell Funeral Home (822 Carl Russell Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27101). Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church (5000 Noble St, Winston-Salem, NC 27105). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
