It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Ann Dunnegan Bailey of Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on March 12, 2026, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifton Pershing Dunnegan and Frances Louise Vestal Dunnegan; her husband Stephen E. Bailey; her son Robert Paul Bailey; and her brothers, C. P. "Cliff" Dunnegan (Judy) and Richard "Dickie" Dunnegan (Debbie).
She is survived by: her niece Dawn Carey (Dean); her nephew Danny Dunnegan (Kristy); and her family, Daryl Gillis (Kent Myers), Morgan Jessup (Austin), Westin Gillis (Hayley), Max Morphies, Dallas Crosby (Melissa Boahn) and Johnathan Gray. She is also survived by four great-nieces.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Disabled Veterans in honor of her brothers Cliff and Dickie Dunnegan for their service.
