He was predeceased by: his parents, Plesants Moore Crotts and Clara Jerrine Crotts; his siblings, Christine Crotts, Martha Spainhour, Patricia Wilkerson (Leo) and Hayes Crotts; and his brother-in-law Howard Coombs.
He is survived by: his wife Judy; his sons, Charles M. Crotts Jr. and James Crotts (Meaghen); his grandchildren, James "Henry" Crotts III, June Crotts, Alexandra Dubé and Lucy Dubé; his siblings, Hilda "Elaine" Coombs and Kenneth Crotts (Jill); his niece Caroline Wilkerson; and his nephews, Kerry Crotts (Jennifer) and Brian Coombs (Laura).
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (3250 High Point Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27107).
