It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clessie Ola McIvor Coles of Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on January 3, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Lenoard McIvor and Ella Mae Goggins; her grandmother Effie Mae Goggins; her uncles, Lee and John Goggins; and her children, Perry Coles, Jerry McIvor and Queenesther Powell.

She is survived by: her sister Mary McIvor Williams; her nephews, Dr. Wille DeVon Williams and Terry O'Neal Williams; her niece Sharon Williams Settle; her grandchildren, Thosha Dillard Baity, Denise Sheppard, Crystal Coles and Nino Harden; and her great grandchildren, Alonda and KayKel Dillard.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a nonprofit organization supporting housing for children.
